Background Information:
The Actin-related protein 2/3 complex subunit 3 (ARPC3) is involved in the regulation of actin polymerization. Actin polymerization leads to the development of filopodia, a long and slender cellular protrusion that is associated with cellular adhesion and cellular migration. Further research is still required to clarify ARPC3’s mode of action with respect to actin polymeration.
