Source:Active recombinant matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9, gelatinase B, 92 kDa type IV collagenase) cloned from human cDNA and expressed in P. pastoris. The enzyme consists of residues Phe107-Pro449 (NM_004994), which comprises the catalytic/fibronectin domain of human MMP-9, with a C-terminal purification tag. This represents a naturally-occurring active form of MMP-9 which lacks the C-terminal hemopexin domain. Activity toward its targets, such as gelatin, casein, or peptide substrates, is unaffected.

Product Overview:
Human native nucleosomes purified from HeLa cell nuclei, digested with micrococcal nuclease, and purified by glycerol gradient and ion exchange chromatography.
Background Information:
Nucleosomes are the basic units of chromatin, and are comprised of approximately 147 bp of DNA spooled around a central octamer of core histones, H2A, H2B, H3, and H4. The arrangement of nucleosomes in chromatin can be altered by post-translational modifications (PTM) occurring on the C- and N-terminal tails of the core histones. Histone modifications can either provide or hinder access of key transcriptional complexes to DNA sequences and can regulate the expression of genes. These effects can be deciphered by applications such as chromatin immunoprecipiation (ChIP), which requires high quality chromatin, and essential tools such as histone proteins and appropriate enzymes, to assemble chromatin in vitro.
