QUANTI-Blue™
QUANTI-Blue™ is a colorimetric enzyme assay developed to determine any alkaline phosphatase activity (AP) in a biological sample, such as supernatants of cell cultures. In particular, QUANTI-Blue™ provides an easy and rapid mean to detect and quantify secreted embryonic alkaline phosphatase (SEAP), a reporter widely used for in vitro and in vivo analytical studies.
In the presence of alkaline phosphatase, the color of QUANTI-Blue™ changes from pink to purple/blue. The intensity of the blue hue reflects the activity of AP. The levels of AP can be determined qualitatively with the naked eye or quantitatively using a spectrophotometer at 620-655 nm.
QUANTI-Blue™ is useful to monitor activation in reporter cell lines.
